I got one. Finally. A Karl Lagerfeld one. A blush one. It’s cute, I think it’s pretty. It’s called the Paris Willow. Now, how do you wear it? I mean, I know how to, but how come I don’t feel that cute in it? Is it the fanny pack stigma? Maybe if I keep calling it the belt bag, it won’t be a fanny pack anymore. I’ve never owned a fanny pack. Is it me or does anyone else remember when fanny packs were uncool? I still remember when my Dad asked me if I wanted one
I died. No, Dad, uh, no.
Then, there’s the wear-it-like-a-crossbody bag. That feels weird too. Is it because its kinda short? I feel like I was putting on a little girls bag around my body. It also kinda feels like it’s hanging around my neck. Like, all I see in my view is…bag. I wore it out today. I watched carefully to see if anyone was staring at the fanny pack around my neck. They didn’t. Seriously, I watched them carefully. It reminds me of a story my sister and I were telling over the weekend about my wide brim hat and something about it falling into the craps table in Vegas. Ok, you had to be there. Totally off topic. It’s a funny story. Wish you could hear it.
Ok, so I guess, I’m just not used to it. Will I get used to it? How does it look? Maybe I should get a different kind. At least my boots are cool.
Shop (if you dare, a fanny pack) below this post.
